“As you navigate through the myriad of responsibilities and tasks that fill your days, have you ever paused to reflect on whether you are truly prioritizing what matters most in your life? The daily hustle and bustle of modern life can often lead us astray, causing us to lose sight of our core values and what truly brings us fulfillment. Before moving forward, it's essential to pause and reflect on your priorities. Take a moment to ponder what truly matters to you. What are your passions, goals, and values? Understanding your inner compass will guide you towards making decisions that resonate with your authentic self.”

The day didn’t really started out on a good note, for it’s the holidays and my boy simply decided to throw a tantrum out of nowhere, after behaving relatively well for the past week. But it wasn’t that bad. He just sat down and cried for 15 minutes after getting a scolding from me, and then went into his music room to “vent” off his sadness before coming out to give me a hug. I do hope that he understood why I reprimanded him due to his behaviour after I explained it.

But no matter how much he pissed me off, he’s still my beloved boy. And I’m thankful that at least he is healthy. There must be a reason why he is brought to this family.

Then came the news… my ex-boss’s younger brother suddenly passed away. She was devastated the moment she saw us at the funeral. Her brother had passed away in his sleep, in his 30’s with 2 very young kids.

I can fully understood how she felt for when my Goddad suddenly passed away 20 years ago, everyone was in shock. It’s not to discount the fact that it ain’t sad for people who got sick over a period of time before passing away, but it’s just that one is having all the pain at one go, thus the intensity is horrible, while the other pain is spread over a period of time.

And that got me thinking even more… Am I prioritising what I want in my life? Is there a reason to work so hard and feel so stressful? What are we chasing for, in life? Let’s all take a pause here and reflect.
