“Achieving balance is not a distant dream; it's a tangible reality that you can create through practical steps in your daily life. There are five key strategies that can help you find equilibrium and fulfillment in the midst of life's demands. The first step towards achieving balance is to assess your priorities. By understanding your core values, you can make conscious choices that steer your life towards fulfillment and meaning. The second step is to set boundaries and learn to say no. It is a powerful skill when aiming for a balanced life. Protect your time and energy for what truly matters by establishing clear boundaries. The third step is to have a well-thought-out schedule that can prevent last-minute stress and ensure dedicate time to what's important. By structuring your day proactively, you pave the way for a more harmonious life. The fourth step is to practice mindfulness which can help you reduce stress, cultivate gratitude, and refocus your attention on what truly matters. Embrace the power of being fully present in your daily experiences. Lastly, regularly reassess your priorities. By periodically revisiting your priorities, you ensure that your life remains in sync with your authentic self.”

“No matter how successful our life may be, there will be some frustrations and regrets.”

This was my greatest take away when I went for the service today. That everyone always tend to say something good, and then came the “but”. And now that I recalled, I think my boy caught that too. For every time when I told him some criteria that he needs to fulfill before he can have some game time, he will always continue with a “but” for me. But, is it necessary to always have a “but”? Why can’t we just accept the good and the flaws?

That’s something for both me and you to ponder about…

Today is the last day of the short school holidays. Honestly, I’m not ready for the school to reopen. Not to mention that there’s a PSLE Listening Comprehension coming up next Friday. And then I’ll have to start worrying about my younger boy.

My planned schedule seems to gone haywire again, so I’ll need to try and restart from somewhere. Let’s hope things will get back to normal once the school starts.
